Indiana Pacers shooting guard Victor Oladipo played in Thursday's scrimmage game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, Oladipo told Pacers reporters after the game it's not a guarantee he'll play when the real games start on July 30.

Oladipo shocked many when he changed his mind about playing in Orlando. The All-Star initially was going to sit out the entire NBA restart before he decided to play in Thursday's scrimmage.

The Pacers have already clinched a spot in the 2020 playoffs. The team will use its eight seeding games to knock out even more rust and prepare for the postseason.

If Oladipo ultimately decides not to play in the real games, it's going to be interesting to see how his relationship with Pacers management is affected.

If Indiana doesn't sign Oladipo to a contract extension before 2021, the former Most Improved Player of the Year will become an unrestricted free agent.

In the 13 games he played in before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Oladipo averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists. The two-time All-Star shot 39.1 percent from the field, 30.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Since players are prone to get hurt at Disney World because they haven’t played in such a long time, Oladipo needs to make sure his surgically-repaired quad tendon is ready for the “bubble” games and the physical exertion of NBA basketball.
