Victor Oladipo is already a fan favorite in Indiana, but there is no question that a letter he wrote to a boy battling cancer will send a few more fans in his direction.

On April 16, 10-year-old Cameron Kirk of Danville, Indiana, was diagnosed with leukemia. Eleven days later, Oladipo penned a letter to the young man, encouraging him on his fight.

Here's what the letter said:

“I recently heard about your battle with Leukemia, and I just wanted to encourage you to stay strong! I know this is a scary and very frustrating time right now, but you must believe in yourself and everyone around you that is helping you through this time.

“May God give you the strength, comfort, and special blessings that you need as you face each new day. No matter the road you are given, remember to never give up. You never know what God has planned or your life.

“I wish you all the best through your treatment and encourage you to keep a positive attitude and listen to your doctors, nurses and parents — they are there to help you win this battle! All my teammates and I are #CameronStrong!”

According to Yahoo! Sports, there has already been $4,000 raised on a GoFundMe page raising money to help offset the costs of the treatment.

A family friend had contacted the Pacers telling about Kirk's story, and that's when they received back the letter from Oladipo.

In terms of Oladipo and this heartwarming act of kindness, the NBA stud has always been a guy that gets out in the community a lot. Two years ago he was nominated for the NBA's community assist award.
