A few weeks after undergoing knee surgery, Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo is back on the basketball court, getting shots up as part of his recovery process.

Victor Oladipo seems to be in high spirits, as he begins his long journey back to playing in the NBA. The All-Star guard suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee, and his recovery period is expected to be at least nine months.

The injury couldn't come at a worse time for Oladipo, who was having a spectacular season for the Pacers. He is averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. He made the All-Star selection this season but will be replaced by Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell.

Despite his absence, the Pacers seem to be doing just fine. They have won six of their last ten games. Their most recent victory is a 42-point demolition of the Los Angeles Lakers. Still, Oladipo will really be missed by Indiana, especially during the playoffs.

Oladipo's career, however, is far from over. He's just 26 years old and will be healthy enough to lead the Pacers anew next season. For now, he's focused on getting better everyday.

Oladipo's journey to stardom is one of the most inspiring stories in the league right now. After failing to co-exist with Russell Westbrook with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he was then dealt to the Pacers in exchange for Paul George back in 2017. He was initially seen by many as someone who was just included in the trade to make the salaries match. But now, he's Indiana's franchise player — someone the Pacers believe will help lead them to a title in the near future.

See you soon, Dipo!
