During an outing for the Los Angeles Dodgers this week, Trevor Bauer was taken deep by the San Diego Padres young star Fernando Tatis Jr. Later, on Twitter, it was discovered that Tatis Jr. might have looked at the sign the Dodgers' catcher gave to Bauer. This led to a pretty funny back on forth on Twitter between Bauer and Tatis Jr.

The unwritten rules of baseball are often talked about as a phenomenon, but they remain unwritten. It is generally looked down upon to read signs while in the batter's box. However, the game is changing and Tatis Jr. is the one doing the majority of the changing. The Padres superstar has a swagger to him that has not been seen in the MLB since Ken Griffey Jr.
Bauer is another one of the other most popular players in the league and he has a similarly abrasive and game-changing attitude. He was a huge acquisition by the Dodgers in the offseason and he is one of the best players in baseball.
These two players represent the larger rivalry between the Padres and the Dodgers that will be a story to watch this season. They are two teams that are both primed to compete for a World Series ring, but they happen to be in the same division. The NL West is going to be super competitive because both of these teams have an argument for the best in the MLB. Tatis Jr and Bauer are two dynamic personalities playing on two of the best teams in baseball, the league is in a good place. As for the Padres and the Dodgers, they will have a lot more interesting games as the season progresses.
