Wide receiver Antonio Brown will join the New England Patriots on their trip to Miami to face the Dolphins on Sunday, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports.

It's yet to be known if Brown will play in his first game as a Patriot on Sunday, considering recent sexual assault allegations. However, the NFL is yet to place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, therefore permitting him to play. The NFL is still opening an investigation into the sexual assault allegations.

On Friday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said the team is still “determining” if Brown will play on Sunday, noting that he will do “what’s best for the team,” according to Nick DeCosta-Klipa of Boston.com. Said Belichick:

“I’m not going to hand out a copy of the game plan here.”

In typical Belichick fashion, the Patriots coach stonewalled reporters asking if he'll play or not. The coach cited that Brown has not picked up the playbook as quickly as anticipated, noting that their scheme varies greatly for ones he played with in Oakland and Pittsburgh. Brown's availability for the Week 2 matchup appears to be a game-time decision.

Brown has called New England home for less than a week, officially. The team signed the perennial Pro Bowler and 2018 touchdown leader (15) after he asked and later was granted his release from the Raiders. Brown's offseason has been anything but quiet, as a litany of off the field and on the field issues tend to follow the receiver wherever he goes.
