The New England Patriots were able to take down the Buffalo Bills 16-10 in Week 4 but the sore subject in the game was the hit that Jonathan Jones delivered on Josh Allen. Earlier this week, Jones reached out to the Bills quarterback after the rough hit.

The Patriots cornerback said that he contacted Allen on social media but he wouldn't discuss what the two spoke about. Nevertheless, everything seems to be good between the two players heading into Week 5.

The hit that Jonathan Jones made came in the second half of last Sunday's game. On the play, Allen decided to tuck the ball and run after failing to find a wide receiver open down the field.

Then, as he was being taken down to the ground, Jones made a helmet-to-helmet hit on the second-year quarterback. As a result, Allen was forced to exit from the game and enter the concussion protocol.

With Allen making an early exit, Matt Barkley was asked to step in as the team's quarterback. Unfortunately, the veteran signal-caller was unable to make enough plays to get the Bills the win versus the Patriots.

Understandably so, Allen's teammates didn't appear to be fond of the hit and there was a brief scuffle. There was a flag thrown on the play but the cornerback wasn't ejected for the scary hit he delivered. Additionally, Jones said that he hasn't heard from the NFL in terms of receiving a fine for the play that knocked Allen out of the game.

On Friday, Allen still remains in the concussion protocol and is questionable to play in Week 5. Even with that being said, the young gunslinger is still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
