Much like Tom Brady, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has yet to take part in the team’s offseason program and may not be present at the start of OTAs on Monday.

But according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Gronk will apparently report at some point during this phase of the offseason program.

After months of uncertainty about his future and talk of potential retirement, Gronkowski expressed his commitment to play this season to Bill Belichick last month.

Gronk is also likely to receive a reworked contract for his troubles. It won’t be hard to imagine that Gronk does finally show up after that new deal gets done.

Instead of taking part in the Patriots’ offseason conditioning program, a leaner-looking Gronkowski has been working with Brady's body coach, Alex Guerrero, this offseason.

While Belichick isn’t a fan of Guerrero, he can’t argue with the results that Brady and Gronk have delivered. Gronkowski, who started working with Guerrero last year, is coming off another terrific season where he had 69 catches for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns. More importantly, he remained relatively healthy throughout the Patriots’ run to the Super Bowl.

Gronkowski’s presence in OTAs should be a promising sign given everything that’s gone down with him this offseason. However, it remains to be seen whether he and the rest of the Patriots will get a chance to work with their quarterback during organized team activities or if they have to wait even longer to see him back in uniform.
