Since being selected first overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, Anthony Davis has lived up to the hype that surrounded him even before entering the league. He has established himself as one of the best, if not the best power forward in the game today, with his very impressive skill set, consisting of his insane prowess on both ends of the floor.

Now in his sixth season as a pro, Davis continues to perform at a very high level night in and night out, just like how he did on Monday against the Phoenix Suns, as he recorded 53 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks. While that's a rare feat, it's not the first time the five-time All-Star has had a similar stat line.

In fact, it's already the third time he has reached at least 50 points and 15 rebounds in a game. StatMuse gave some more context on the rarity of Davis' feat in their recent tweet.

The other three instances were courtesy of James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Dirk Nowitzki.

This is how dominant Davis has been for the New Orleans Pelicans. The only issue he's had in his career is suffering different injuries, which has only allowed him to play at least 70 games once in six years. With DeMarcus Cousins prematurely ending his season early this year with a ruptured Achilles, the Pelicans need Davis more than ever to step up his game and lead them to more wins, especially in this stretch run.

The good news for the team is that Davis has been up to the challenge so far, and has made it possible for the Pelicans to currently be in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 34-26 record.
