New Orleans Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis has made it known that he would like to be traded. The team is willing to acquiesce to his wish, but they're looking for a fair return.

The Pelicans have spoke with several teams that are interested in Davis' services, but so far, no deals have come to fruition. Now, however, New Orleans and newly-appointed GM David Griffin could be willing to entertain a three-team trade, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to front offices who've engaged in conversations with Griffin, he hasn't sounded convinced that a singular team is likely to fulfill his wishes for a Davis deal. To that end, Griffin has been working to find multi-team trade scenarios that could redirect assets for players or picks more preferable to the Pelicans, sources said.

Davis, now 26 years of age, is a franchise-changing type of player. The former No. 1 overall pick made 56 appearances with the Pelicans last season (all starts), racking up averages of 25.9 points on 51.7 percent shooting from the field (33.1 percent from beyond the arc), 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists 2.4 blocks, and 1.6 steals in 33.0 minutes per outing.

The Pelicans have reportedly reached out to several teams with proposals, including the Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks. The Boston Celtics are also believed to be in the hunt for Davis, sources tell ESPN, but they are a team that would need to consider Kyrie Irving's future.

Griffin has offered teams no firm timetable on needing a completed deal, but he has indicated that he prefers the acquisition of 2019 draft picks be completed days prior to the June 20 event, in Brooklyn, league sources said.

Griffin is pursuing a combination of assets that include an All-Star player, a young player with All-Star potential and two first-round picks, league sources said.

Whether or not Griffin and the Pelicans will be able to make a deal revolving around Davis remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds like they're exploring their options.
