Just seven games into his NBA career and injuries are already catching back up to Zion Williamson. According to the New Orleans Pelicans' official Twitter account, the 6-foot-6, 285-pound forward is listed as questionable with a toe sprain for the team's next game against the Chicago Bulls.

A knee injury and subsequent surgery kept Williamson out for the Pelicans' first 44 games of the season. The No. 1 pick of the 2019 NBA draft finally made his regular-season debut on Jan. 22 against the San Antonio Spurs.

In his debut, Williamson recorded 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists in only 18 minutes.

Since then, the former Duke star has been impressive as he gets back to full strength and slowly becomes a bigger part of the Pelicans' gameplan.

In his seven games, Williamson is playing 27.1 minutes a contest while averaging 19.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game on 55/44/59 shooting splits.

New Orleans has gone a combined 3-4 in games that Williamson has appeared in and sit in 12th place in the Western Conference with a 20-31 record thus far.

While there is still a possibility that Williamson suits up against the Bulls on Wednesday, injuries have already become a big talking point for the talented forward's career less than a year in.

If Williamson is officially ruled out, expect to see an increase in minutes for rookie big man Jaxson Hayes, Derrick Favors and Nicolo Melli against a depleted Chicago frontcourt.

After traveling to Chicago, the Pelicans will go to Indiana to play the Pacers on Saturday before returning home to face off against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
