Zion Williamson ended February with quite a bang. The New Orleans Pelicans young superstar had another Superman-like game on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting alongside 14 boards. Although coming in a losing effort, the performance caps off an amazing month for the 20-year-old Williamson, putting him side-by-side with one of the most dominant superstars in NBA history.

According to StatMuse, Williamson ended the month with 27.3 points per game on an efficient 64.7% shooting clip, making him the first player to score at least 25 points on 60% shooting or better for an entire month since Shaquille O'Neal did it in January 2005.

Though the Pelicans' month has been rather average, Williamson's dominance has been far from mediocre. The first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft has been consistent for NOLA amid the team's 7-8 record this month. He has been on a roll with a total of five 30+ point performances in their last stretch of games.

It's no surprise that the high-flying forward made it to his first ever All-Star Game this season.

After missing a huge chunk of his rookie season due to a knee injury, Williamson is looking to make up for lost time as he's been better than advertised in his sophomore year. The Duke product has been shining bright for the Pelicans this year and has been one of the most commanding forwards in the NBA. With his built and athleticism, it's been hard to cover Zion Williamson and he's been able to get almost everything he wants in the paint.
