29-year-old Patrick Cantlay cashed in on Sunday in Atlanta, earning the 2021 FedEx Championship crown and the $15 million in prize money that comes along with it.

“Felt like a huge win, and it was,” Cantlay said after the win, per Yahoo Sports. “I played great today. It hasn’t even sunk in yet. I just kept telling myself to focus and lock in and I did a great job of that today. It was tough. It was definitely different than any other week. It was the longest lead I’ve ever held.”

Cantlay, who ranked no. 4 at the beginning of the week, overcame second-place finisher Jon Rahm (20 under), claiming victory on the final hole and finishing the tournament at an impressive 21 under. Rahm had a chance to eagle and tie Cantlay on the final hole, but missed slightly and allowed Cantlay to secure the win with a birdie.

Kevin Na (16 under) and Justin Thomas (15 under) came in third and fourth place respectively, with Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland (both 14 under) tying for fifth place.

With Sunday's win, Cantlay has now won two competitions in a row. He defeated Bryson DeChambeau in order to claim the BMW Championship just a week ago.

The next major tournament will be the Safeway Open, teeing off on Sept. 16 from the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa.
