In their 115-98 win over the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey admitted that he didn't run a single play for Andre Drummond. Yet, the center still notched a monster double-double.

Per the Associated Press via ESPN, Casey praised Drummond for creating his own results on the court. Casey confessed that he didn't run a single play for the center, who still put up some big numbers.

“I want to say something about Andre Drummond,” Casey said. “We didn't run a single play for him tonight — not one — and he came back with 18 points and 18 rebounds. He's playing tremendous basketball.”

Andre Drummond leads the league in rebounds per game with 15.4. With a few games remaining, he'll likely gain his third rebounding title in an NBA regular season. He also won in 2016 and 2018.

The 25-year-old is making a case as one of the best centers in the league. As the ninth overall pick in 2012, analysts expected him to bloom quickly into a star center, but he is taking it slowly and surely. In his seven-year career, he has been named to the All-Star team twice, which is still a pretty great accomplishment.

More importantly, beyond any individual awards or milestones, the Pistons have a shot at qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Drummond has played a big part in the organization's resurgence.
