It's now been nearly a week since Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart was involved in an ugly incident with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Stewart has now served his two-game suspension for his antics during what nearly turned out to be a brawl between the two teams and at this point, it sounds like the 20-year-old has already had ample time to think about his actions.

According to Pistons head coach Dwane Casey, Stewart is now be regretting his decision to try and attack LeBron after being hit by a wayward punch courtesy of the Lakers superstar (h/t Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports):

Stewart could not control his emotions at that point in time and he literally lunged at LeBron several times as his Pistons teammates held him back. It's a good thing that he's now come to his senses because right now, the optics aren't looking too good for him.

It is interesting to note that the Pistons and the Lakers square off in a rematch on Sunday night. Stewart will face off against LeBron for the first time since the incident and it will be interesting to monitor their interaction during the game. Then again, given Stewart's remorseful stance, it wouldn't be surprising if the pair settle the score even before tip-off.
