Dwane Casey and the Detroit Pistons have plenty of talent on their roster, but they have been unable to put everything together at the same time. Looking ahead at the remainder of the season, the Pistons know that they will have to make a move or two to tweak their roster and improve.

According to a report from Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Pistons have expressed interest in trading for Damyean Dotson. There have been no updates about how the New York Knicks responded to the Pistons' interest at this point in time.

Dotson has been a very solid role player for the Knicks this season. He is capable of scoring the ball at a high level, especially from the 3-point line. Detroit has issues on the perimeter at the shooting guard and small forward positions and are certainly looking for more depth.

New York has seen Dotson average 11.4 points to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. He has shot 46.9 percent from the floor overall and has knocked down 38.5 percent of his 3-point attempts.

At just 24 years old, Dotson isn't just a piece that the Pistons could acquire for a season. If they were able to trade for him, the Pistons would be able to keep him around for the long haul as well.

It will be interesting to see what the Knicks decide to do ahead of the trade deadline. They have plenty of talented young pieces who could be intriguing to quite a few teams.

Expect to see Dotson receive a lot of interest around the trade deadline, and New York might just find a deal it cannot pass up.
