Eevee, the adorable fox Pokemon, has 8 different evolutions, one of which is already in Pokemon Unite. It looks like a second Eevee evolution is on its way to the game with the addition of Espeon, the Psychic-Type Pokemon.

Pokemon Unite’s official Twitter page confirmed the arrival of Espeon in the game. They mentioned that the Psychic-type Pokemon will arrive in the next update on May 16. In addition to that, Espeon will be a ranged type of attacker similar to its Eeveelution cousin Sylveon.
Introduced in the Johto region, Espeon is a Psychic-type evolution of Eevee who’s apparently one of the strongest in the region. Its debut alongside Umbreon definitely hyped up Pokemon fans around the globe. Eevee having 3 evolutions back in Kanto was already impressive, but, having 2 more in Johto was insane at the time. Interestingly enough, both Espeon and Umbreon evolve via happiness level, completely different from relying on the traditional evolution stones.
Espeon is officially the fifth Psychic Pokemon to join the Pokemon Unite roster. Joining the likes of Gardevoir, Hoopa, Mr. Mime, and Slowbro. Now having both Espeon and Sylveon on the roster, makes us wonder if all 8 Eeveelutions will eventually be in the game? If so, it’ll be cool to squad up with your friends to play as 5 different Eeveelutions in the same match. However, for now, let’s see who the better evolution is, between Espeon and Sylveon. Espeon will arrive in Pokemon Unite on May 16.
