Pokimane said so on her stream. In a clip by Alexandros_YB on Twitch, the streamer comments on streamers dating their fans. She says:
“I don’t think it has as much to do with not dating your fans as it does with the person not knowing them. It comes down to the two people and the way that someone reaches out to you.”
That's true – many fans don't really know Twitch personalities when the cameras stop rolling. Twitch fans tend to have an idealized and sometimes fetishized versions of streamers in their heads. This will most likely not match up with the real person behind the camera, which could lead to a clash between expectations and realities. Most of the time, relationships like this don't end well.
But still, Pokimane admits that she's not entirely closed to the idea of dating a fan. It really just depends on the situation.
