The PS+ Extra and PS+ Premium subscription services will be launching with an insanely amazing library of games on offer.
There has been a good mix of excitement and cynicism surrounding the upcoming launch of PlayStation+ Extra and PlayStation+ Premium – reworks of the old PS+ subscription service model which aims to give players more options and more rewards for their most utmost loyal subscribers. Those looking forward to the service will be pleased to learn that the subscription service will be launching with a strong lineup of games, quickly making the library a worthy contender to Microsoft's own Xbox Game Pass.

As usual, PlayStation Plus Essential will have a monthly refresh of new games to claim for the PS4 and the PS5 – that's not going away. However, PS+ Extra and PS+ Premium will also add even more games to the mix on a monthly basis.
This meaty announcement really sets up PS+ Extra and PS+ Premium to be worthy of consideration at the very least. For only $99 annually, you get access to this many games. However, do note that Sony has already said it will not be launching its first-party Triple-A games through the service, so that's one aspect of the Xbox Game Pass that beats this revamped PS+ Premium service.
