The Los Angeles Rams were successful in their attempt to build a better team for the 2018 NFL season. As a result, expectations for the franchise have skyrocketed moving forward.

Fortunately, quarterback Jared Goff is all for it. According to ESPN's Sam Alipour, Goff is eager to bring a Super Bowl title to Los Angeles:

“I love it here. I want to win championships, leave a legacy and, ultimately, be a great teammate, quarterback, player and friend. A long-term goal is being in the Hall of Fame, but winning a Super Bowl is No. 1, and I don't want to wait to win it. That's really the only thing I think about.”

It is encouraging to see that Goff has embraced the Super Bowl or bust expectations. It is indicative of the confidence he has in both himself as a quarterback and the team as a whole.

Needless to say, he has come a long way since his tumultuous rookie season. Just two years ago, the Rams were viewed as one of the most hapless organizations in the NFL with Goff being the latest example of the reasons why. Fortunately, Los Angeles was finally able to surround him with the necessary pieces to succeed, and they have since emerged as legitimate Super Bowl contenders thanks to his progression.

Goff will need this optimistic approach going into what could be his most deciding year thus far. The former No. 1 overall pick received little credit for the Rams' resurgence on offense last year. However, he will likely receive the brunt of the criticism if things do not go according to plan this season. Such is the life of an underrated NFL quarterback.
