Since entering the NFL in the 2010 NFL Draft as the second overall, star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has had a huge chip on his shoulder due to being taken behind quarterback Sam Bradford going to the then-St. Louis Rams.

With both Bradford and Suh now in the same division in the NFC West, Suh revealed during an interview on the Around The NFL Podcast this week that he always marks the calendar when the opportunity to play the former Oklahoma product. (h/t Chris Wesseling of NFL.com)

“I always mark the calendar when I have Sam Bradford on there, no matter what,” Suh told the Around The NFL Podcast on Thursday. “Whether it was when we were rookies, when he was in St. Louis or when he was any other place. I've always looked forward to going against him.”

Although it was simply a situation that the Rams had pinpointed taking Bradford because of necessity at the quarterback position, Suh has held that as personal motivation throughout his NFL career. The 31-year-old will have his first opportunity to play against him when Los Angeles hosts the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 in the first home tilt of the 2018 season. The next meeting between the two teams will take place in Week 16.

Bradford is currently expected to get the first crack at being the starter to begin next season that should at least put him in line to be under center for the team's matchup in Week 2 barring any injury. The 30-year-old has had much difficulty staying on the field over the last couple of years that includes missing all but two games in the 2017 season due to issues related to his pair of ACL tears.

This just adds another wrinkle to the rivalry this season with Suh having some extra motivation heading into Week 2 that should help the Rams get off on the right foot in NFC West divisional play.
