Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead has once again worked some cap space magic, as the team has come to terms with wide receiver Allen Robinson on a three-year, $46.5 million deal, with $30 million of it being guaranteed. One could presume that this move may put an end to a possible reunion between Odell Beckham Jr. and the Rams, but this may not be the case after all.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes, the Rams “still have money left” to re-sign Beckham and the team aspires to bring him back.

More so, The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue further adds that such a reunion between both sides “may take some time to work out” due to Beckham’s injury “return timeline.”

Beckham suffered a torn ACL injury in Super Bowl 56. He wound up missing a bulk of the contest, although Cooper Kupp stepped up to the plate in his absence against the Cincinnati Bengals. Beckham underwent knee surgery last month, and he is expected to not be available come Week 1 of the 2022 season.

Ahead of Super Bowl 56, Beckham noted that he is interested in a return to the Rams and is open to a team-friendly deal to stay put. Rams head coach Sean McVay echoed these same feelings during the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine period earlier this month, as he noted that “hopefully that there will be many more years to come with us working together.”

As it stands, Rams wideouts Kupp, Robinson and Robert Woods will each hold a $15 million-plus cap hit in the 2022 campaign.

With Beckham slated to miss time in the upcoming season as he continues to recover from his ACL injury, it will be noteworthy to see on the average annual value deal that he will end up signing in free agency, whether with the Rams or another playoff contender.
