Toronto Raptors forward Danny Green believes that his team needs to create the mindset of taking every opponent seriously.

The Raptors are in the midst of an eight-game winning streak, but it sounds like Green and company aren't looking to get complacent after their impressive 20-4 start.

Here's what Green had to say following Toronto's 106-95 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, courtesy of Joe Vardon of The Athletic:

“I think we just have to do a better job of coming out, taking every team seriously, same way,” said Green, who scored 15 points and seven rebounds. “Not saying we didn’t take them seriously but we didn’t come out with the same energy we did against Golden State and maybe it was due to the overtime hangover. I think it’s partial both of playing them, having the hangover and also playing Cleveland, which we know hasn’t had the best year so far.”

That type of mindset should certainly put a smile on the face of Raptors' fans, as the team is showing very few signs of slowing down.

Kawhi Leonard has been fantastic in his first season with the franchise, with the former San Antonio Spurs star posting 25.5 points and 8.6 rebounds to go along with 3.1 assists in 34.3 minutes per game.

As for Green, he's averaging 10.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest while starting all 24 games this season.

The Raptors will return to the court on Monday night for an intriguing showdown with the Denver Nuggets.
