Toronto Raptors fans have begun a “Ka'Wine and Dine” initiative to convince superstar Kawhi Leonard to stay in Toronto.

Raptors Republic's official Twitter account posted a video of NBA on TNT's Kristen Ledlow describing the campaign during a timeout in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

According to Ledlow, more than 50 Toronto-area restaurants have already signed up for the “Ka'Wine and Dine” initiative. The good news for Leonard: Raptors Republic didn't limit the campaign to food businesses.

Ledlow also says Uber and Lift drivers can participate. In addition, a recording studio, auto detail shop and a law firm have expressed their interest.

The 27-year-old Leonard is in his seventh NBA season — arguably his finest to date. He averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists during the regular campaign.

He has taken his game to unprecedented heights in the playoffs. He has been averaging 32.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the Raptors through Sunday.

Leonard has a player option worth $21.3 million next season. If he exercises this player option, he will become an unrestricted free agent. There are already plenty of teams interested in signing Leonard, including the Los Angeles Clippers.

Will the “Ka'Wine and Dine” initiative succeed? Raptors fans surely hope so. For all they know, Leonard's heart could already be in Toronto.

If the Raptors win the 2019 NBA championship, there's a good chance Leonard will stay.
