During Vince Carter's early days with the Toronto Raptors, he used to play one-on-one with this kid named Stephen Curry before games started.

Steph's father, Dell, was a teammate of Carter on the Raptors, so the Golden State Warriors star was always hanging around the team as a kid.

“For a while it was kind of strange to look in the stands and see Dell and Sonya [Curry]. I remember when we all used to hang out,” Carter told Sports Illustrated. “Steph and I used to play one-on-one before every home game in Toronto. He was always sitting on the side, dribbling, dribbling, going, ‘You ready? You ready!?' I’d finish my pregame workout and we’d play.”

Fast forward to today, and Vince Carter and Stephen Curry are now competing against each other in the NBA. It surely makes Carter feel old, but the former Raptors star should be proud of the way he's taken care of his body all of these years.

Carter will play his 22nd season in the NBA in 2019-20 with the Atlanta Hawks and then call it a career. The former high-flyer played seven seasons with the Raptors, averaging 23.4 points in 403 regular season games.

An eight-time All-Star, Carter was the 1999 Rookie of the Year with the Raptors.
