Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam is slowly emerging as one of the best two-way players in the league, and he displayed that on Sunday by denying Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

Last season’s Most Improved Player sent a statement to the rest of the NBA, as he emphatically rejected the four-time MVP’s shot to oblivion late in the fourth quarter.

With the Los Angeles Lakers trying to get back in the ball game in the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors, James attempted a short stab to bring the lead down to seven.

However, Siakam emerged out of nowhere to swat the high percentage shot and triggered a Raptors fastbreak on the other end.

Toronto rookie Terence Davis capitalized on the defensive stop and converted on a tough lay-up, giving the Raps a 101-90 lead with 4:41 left in regulation.

The Raptors eventually sealed the victory, 113-104, and snapped LA’s seven game winning streak. Siakam led the way with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
