Since last playing in the NBA in the 2008-2009 season, Rashad McCants has been a forgotten man and never got the chance to prove himself once again in the league.

He started his professional career on a high note when he was selected 14th overall in the 2004 draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He went on to average 14.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his third year, but was still traded by the team, and was not re-signed by the team that acquired him, the Sacramento Kings.

The former North Carolina Tar Heel made a lot of headlines last week when he claimed he lost around $60-70 million for dating Khloe Kardashian before, and added to his controversial streak by throwing some shade towards the league and hinted on who he thinks played a huge part in his NBA exit, via C. Jackson Cowart of The Charlotte Observer.

“I’ve been told, numerous conversations and numerous sources, that I’ve been blackballed. And it’s just the way the league is sometimes. When one person who is a higher-up, Hall of Famer, says don’t touch him, they won’t. And that’s just how it is.”

McCants continued with his tirade and added more details to his claim. He even came close to naming the person he thinks is responsible for throwing him out of the league, via Dan Gartland of Sports Illustrated.

“When you average 15 points a game in your third year, 10 points a game for your career, and you can’t get a job—and you’ve never been in trouble, never gotten in any fights—there’s something fishy there.”

“If you look at the pieces, there’s only a couple of them. If you do your due diligence, one of them just happened to coach me. Wink, wink.”

With all he’s said, it’s not hard to think that McCants was pointing his finger at Kevin McHale , who was the GM with the Wolves, and also coached the team during the time the 6-foot-4 shooting guard was playing for them.

McHale is known to be very vocal, especially when it comes to his critics, and it will be interesting to see how he’ll respond to McCants' strong words. For now, it’s anybody's guess if he'll even respond.
