Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins had an up-and-down rookie season in 2019. Although he missed the last game due to injury, he was catching fire towards the end. That gives fans quite a bit of hope.

Despite the positives, the young Redskins quarterback has faced a lot of criticism so far. That criticism hasn't really stopped this offseason.

So much so that Los Angeles Rams superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey has decided to come to his defense on Twitter.

This came after Gil Brandt mocked Albert Breer for believing that a lot of people have given up on Haskins too quickly. It's a tweet that has since been deleted.

Ramsey is easily one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. In fact, there's a very strong argument that he's right at the top all by himself. So getting praise from him isn't some lowly accomplishment.

At the same time, Ramsey has a bit of a reputation. Nothing terrible. But he has had his scuffles with opponents, and his breakup with the Jacksonville Jaguars wasn't exactly pretty. However, here he shows that sometimes the image might not always reflect the man. He was quick to defend someone he never even played with because he felt he was being unfairly criticized.

Haskins has dropped some weight and shredded some body fat this offseason. He looks to be in incredible shape and is poised for a pretty big breakout year in 2020. It looks like Ramsey is prepared for it too.

If and when Haskins does start to quiet the haters, Ramsey won't be counted amongst them.

Now 2020 is creeping up on us. The cornerback is already a star, and the quarterback for the Redskins is set to take the next step. Haskins certainly has a lot of doubters, but a lot of supporters too. And Ramsey is on the frontlines.
