Bulls swingman and All-Star Jimmy Butler is the most talked-about player since the season ended. His tenure with the Bulls has probably ended, and teams are lining up to offer packages to Chicago. The last of those teams is the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves own the 7th selection in the upcoming draft but are looking to win now, thus a trade is a better option.

Butler has been on Minnesota's radar last couple of seasons, and franchises were close to a deal last draft, but the Wolves were unwilling to give up the 5th selection for the All-Star guard. Now, Butler is available for a reduced price and his former coach, Tom Thibodeau, wants to coach him again.

As Ian Begley from ESPN reports, the 7th pick might be in a possible package sent to the Bulls for Butler. Other parts of the proposed package are unknown, although reports say that Spanish guard Ricky Rubio will be used as a trade chip.

Butler just finished an All-Star season with the Bulls where he averaged career highs in points, assists, rebounds and steals. The Bulls are looking to revamp the whole team and will, reportedly, use Butler to garner young prospects and picks to kick-start their rebuild.

The Wolves, on the other hand, are looking to improve their team around first picks Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns. They already have important pieces in Zach LaVine and Gorgui Dieng, but need more quality players to enter playoff contention in the strong Western Conference.
