The question of whether Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is human or not may finally be answered.

Lynch, 33, unretired a second time this past December to play for his old team the Seahawks in their latest Super Bowl quest. “Beast Mode” will play a different part, however, on the upcoming third season of HBO's “Westworld.” Lynch was spotted in the trailer for the prestige drama based on the Michael Crichton film from the 1970s about lifelike robots going against programming and attacking guests of lavish fantasy resorts.

It's unclear what role Lynch plays in the third season of the program, which airs March 15, but he's notable enough to be featured in the trailer. Lynch, in nearly a minute of the trailer, can be seen walking in a hallway with new cast member Aaron Paul, the Emmy Award-winning actor from “Breaking Bad.”

Lynch, a five-time Pro-Bowler most known for his stint with the Seahawks, initially retired in 2015 with Seattle before coming out of retirement to join his hometown Oakland Raiders. Lynch retired again in 2018 and looked to finally call it quits for good but signed again with Seattle after two major injuries to key running backs forced Lynch to return to the gridiron.

Marshawn Lynch appeared in one regular-season game for the Seahawks before being thrown at the NFL's top defenses in the postseason. In two playoff games in 2019-20, he rushed for 33 yards, scoring three touchdowns along with catching two receptions for 25 yards. He may want to play in 2020, too.

While his NFL future is still uncertain, perhaps Lynch has a burgeoning acting career if he can get his face on “Westworld.”
