The Seattle Seahawks played a sloppy losing efforts against the New Orleans Saints last week. This week, they traveled to Arizona, and left with a win over the Cardinals, 27-10.

Seattle quickly got up with a first quarter field goal and an athletic Jadeveon Clowney pick-six. From there on, they failed to forfeit their lead. In the second quarter, Russell Wilson found Will Dissly for a 9-yard touchdown, then Seattle booted another field goal. By halftime, the Seahawks were up 20-3.

In typical Cardinals fashion, Kyler Murray and Co. tried to catch up late, by scoring a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Then Seattle got strategic, taking eight minutes off the clock on a 15-play, 75-yard drive that ended in a C.J. Prosise 9-yard touchdown run.

“That was a complete game,” as coach Pete Carroll said after the Seahawks win, via Gregg Bell of The New Tribune.

Though the Seahawks allowed four sacks on Wilson, the team performed a complete game. They won the turnover battle (1 to none) and time possession battle (33:24 to 26:36). Seattle was also fairly balanced in their attack, rushing for 115 yards and passing for 225. In addition, they racked up 21 first downs, drilled both of their field goals and scored in all facets.

Where Seattle did struggle, however, is penalties. They finished the game with seven for 65 yards.
