The Seattle Seahawks could be making a move for a wide receiver this offseason. According to Derek Lewis of 247Sports, the Seahawks are one of the teams in on receiver Tyrell Williams.

Quarterback Russell Wilson is one of the best in the league at his position. However, it's not a stretch to say the Seahawks haven't always given him the best weapons to play with.

They could be going after a true deep threat with Williams though.

Williams had a career year in 2016, posting highs in receptions (69) and yards (1,059), as well as touchdowns (7). Although his last two seasons haven't been as good as that, there's still been plenty of production from the receiver.

Williams is a fantastic deep threat who spent the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. Although, for his first two seasons, they were the San Diego Chargers.

In that time, he averaged 16.3 yards per catch in his career. The 6-foot-4 target will give Wilson another legitimate target, and one who can not only burn deep – but get up for 50-50 balls.

Seattle had the 27th ranked passing offense in the NFL last season when it came to yards (3,093). It's hard to put much blame on Wilson, who threw for nearly 3,500 yards and threw 35 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions.

Instead, the blame could be shifted heavily to his pass protection and his weapons. Giving him someone that can help open up the field should make a major difference for this offense.

Many may not consider Tyrell Williams to be in the top tier of NFL wide receivers. However, he's an extremely talented player who could be a game-changer for the Seattle Seahawks. It's good news that they're interested in him – now the only question is if they actually snag him.
