Serge Ibaka returned to the team that drafted him with a splash. In the Magic‘s game against the Thunder, there were not too hard of feelings involved.

Ibaka was playing against Oklahoma City for the first time since being traded and the fans welcomed him with open arms. Naturally, he received great applause before the game and even after, despite the fact that he hit the game winner.

The Orlando Magic's new big man was able to have quite a showing in the game against his former team. He put up 31 points (a career high) and nine rebounds in 37 minutes of play.

According to Erik Horne of The Oklahoman, when Serge Ibaka was asked about hitting the game winner, he said:

“I'm not gonna lie to you, it feels good.”

Ibaka went on to stress the fact that the win was not about him. The Magic were able to get back on the winning track and now sit at 4-6 for the season. In those 10 games Ibaka is averaging 14.3 points per game on 48% shooting and 5.9 rebounds a game. The points are up for him, but the rebounding is down.

After the game, Ibaka also met and shook hands with not only some of the Thunder staff, but also a few Thunder players. Ibaka appears to be in good terms with the team unlike some others who have recently left Oklahoma City.

The Magic will have to get back on it tonight as they play in Indiana against the Pacers for their second game of a back-to-back.
