Philadelphia 76ers general manager Elton Brand says the organization wants Sixers second-year combo guard Markelle Fultz to get healthy and that is all the franchise is concerned with right now.
Markelle Fultz is currently away from the team meeting with multiple shoulder specialists and won’t participate in full practices or games until the specialist has had the opportunity to evaluate him. There have been rumors that the Sixers are looking to trade Fultz and move on from the saga that has been dragging on since last season.
Elton Brand says whatever noise people are hearing right now is irrelevant.
In an interview today with Elton Brand for a future story, we broached topic of @MarkelleF: "Our sole focus with Markelle right now is his health. We hope to know more in the coming days, but the priority is helping him. Anything else you may see or hear out there is just noise.”

In 19 games this season, Markelle Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line. The former No. 1 overall pick still has a nasty hitch in his shot and his free-throw routine is just as ugly.
Fultz has reportedly lost the ability to carry out and follow through on long jump shots. According to a report from The Athletic, Fultz has also been playing with an apparent injury in his right wrist area that has adversely affected his ability to shoot
Fultz's agent and Sixers head coach Brett Brown have said that the trade rumors surrounding Fultz are false.
