The NBA preseason finale Friday night was not without a jolt of drama courtesy of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside.

The two engaged in some heated moments on the court that extended to a battle on social media afterwards. Embiid was calling out Whiteside for fouling him too much, noting that he couldn't stay on the floor, then Whiteside was not happy with the media only playing up Embiid's success, claiming he got the best of him somewhat on the other end as well.

Andre Iguodala, Jared Dudley and Rudy Gobert were just three of the players who chimed in. Surely, more NBA players took note of this and appreciated the entertainment.

Embiid and Whiteside have now effectively established what could blossom into one of the better rivalries in the Eastern Conference. The two talented centers are a great matchup on the court, and that has only grown more intriguing with their words off it.

If Embiid can stay healthy, hopefully we can all appreciate many more duels between the two this coming season.
