Two Philadelphia 76ers fans told Adam Aaronson of âThe Rights To Ricky Sanchezâ podcast that their Sixers ticket sales representatives cited contributing to the pay of Al Horford as a reason why their prices increased significantly.
The Sixers signed Horford to a lucrative $109 million contract last summer in free agency. They also gave Tobias Harris the richest deal in franchise history:

Horfordâs fit with Sixers stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons has been iffy all season and now heâs coming off the bench and getting booed by Sixers fans in pregame intros at home games.
Horford has appeared in 59 games for the Sixers this season. Heâs averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from beyond the arc and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line.
While the Sixers are on their way to making the playoffs barring an incredible collapse, head coach Brett Brown and his staff have to figure out which lineups are the most effective come playoff time, especially in the fourth quarter when the game is in the balance.
The Sixers are 38-26 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings and will likely begin the postseason on the road, which probably isn't good news for the 76ers since they are a terrible team on the road.
Most people around the NBA believe the Sixers will try and trade Horford this summer since the franchise would be foolish to move Embiid or Simmons.
