After the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Phoenix Suns 119-114 Monday night, Sixers guard Markelle Fultz got to talk with a Sixers legend. Former Most Valuable Player Allen Iverson was at the game and it seems like he was giving advice to Fultz.

Markelle Fultz has been gotten plenty of heat over the past year, especially due to his shooting mechanics and because he has been struggling in general. The 2017 top overall pick only played seven minutes and did not score against the Suns.

On the season, Markelle Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He is shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point distance.

It will be interesting to see if Fultz can ever get his shooting motion back to the way it was in college. He was an electric scorer for Washington, but his stock has faded in the NBA very quickly.

With the Sixers acquiring All-Star Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves, Fultz now has a teammate who could light a fire underneath him as no one else has done.

The Sixers may be 12-7 on the season and the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, but all eyes will be on them as to how they handle Markelle Fultz's situation moving forward. Hopefully, the talk with Allen Iverson gives Fultz the confidence he needs.
