Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster spoke to the media after his team's Week 16 road loss to the New York Jets, which may have sealed their postseason fates and missed out on a chance to reach the playoffs in the defeat.

Smith-Schuster, 23, only recorded two receptions for 22 yards in the closely contested matchup between the two AFC clubs. The Jets opened the tilt with 10 points before Mason Rudolph, last year's second-round pick who was originally benched in this game in favor of starting Devlin Hodges, led a first-half comeback, tying the game at halftime. Eventually, Gang Green converted on two second-half field goals to win 16-10.

After the game, Smith-Schuster spoke on the frustrating loss against the Jets, which may have shut the door on clinching the second AFC Wild Card spot (via ESPN's Brooke Pryor).

“Super frustrating. It's more frustrating when … I don't make the play. It's not the first time I've let down our team, I've let down the Steelers fans. This is clearly the worst feeling in the world.”

The one-time Pro-Bowl receiver who became the face of the pass-catching unit after Antonio Browns' exit also denied any difficulty in feeling comfortable in Pittsburgh's offense with the rotating quarterbacks. After Rudolph replaced the benched “Duck” Hodges, the undrafted Samford product returned in the fourth quarter with Rudolph sidelined with an apparent shoulder injury.

While the Steelers lost on Sunday, their fellow Wild Card chaser Tennessee Titans also fell on the same day, losing to the New Orleans Saints. So the last spot is still up for grabs heading into Week 17.
