The Phoenix Suns have yet to find their consistency on the floor despite starting the season with a 5-1 record. After their most recent loss against the Washington Wizards, All-Star guard Devin Booker evaluated the performance of the team's starting unit and shared that they needed to be better in their coming games, via Gerald Bourguet.
"It's obvious and it's evident this first unit has to figure it out." Devin Booker also said it's already too late into the season for the Suns' starting group to be struggling like this

Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul, Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, along with Booker often serve as the regular starters for head coach Monty Williams.
Booker also provided an honest assessment that the team's bench often carried the starters' lack of effort on most games. Their second-unit players in Dario Saric, Cameron Johnson, and Jevon Carter have been providing a spark for the team in their recent outings.
"We do have to figure it out. A lot of the games that we've won, we've been carried by our bench." – Devin Booker

Right from the beginning, Phoenix didn't stand a chance against the surging Wizards who were eager to end a three-game losing skid. After missing the team's recent tilt against the Miami Heat, Bradley Beal made his return on the floor and notched a near triple-double performance of 34 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists.
Meanwhile, Booker led the Suns in scoring with 33 points followed by Bridges and Paul with 14 points apiece. The Wizards never took their foot off the pedal as they escaped with a 128-107 victory to snag their first home win of the season.
Washington improved to a 3-8 record while Phoenix dropped back to a 7-4 tally for third place in the Western Conference. Hopefully, Devin Booker's criticism will encourage the team's starters to come out with better performances in their coming games.
The Suns will aim to get back on the win column as they host the depleted Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 13.
