Devin Booker was unstoppable in the first half of Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans. But the Phoenix Suns star couldn't sustain it in the second half, suffering an injury that forced him out of the contest.

The Suns shooting guard was seen gingerly exiting to the locker room:

Devin Booker will not return to the contest, with Suns coach Monty Williams filling in Allie LaForce.

Monty Williams tells Allie LaForce that Devin Booker “may have a hamstring injury” and the Suns will “know more after the game.”

Devin Booker scored 31 points on a scorching-hot 12-for-18 from the field. He went scoreless in the second half and was only able to take just one shot before exiting the contest in the third quarter.

The Suns couldn't keep up without their star scorer as Brandon Ingram and the Pelicans came roaring back for a 125-114 win. BI finished the game with 37 points after his counterpart was being tended to in the locker room.

There's no word yet on the severity of the injury. But if Devin Booker needs to miss any time, the Suns have shown the wherewithal to withstand injuries in the past. They'll be more than ready to battle with or without Devin Booker as the series shifts to New Orleans.
