Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker did not practice on Monday and he is questionable to play on Tuesday when the team takes on the Sacramento Kings.

Booker is dealing with a back injury. He's considered day-to-day and will likely know Tuesday morning if he can play versus the Kings.

In 31 games this season, Booker is averaging 24.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game for the Suns. The 22-year-old is shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Phoenix is 9-32 on the season, 15th place in the Western Conference standings. They are coming off a 119-113 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Booker played just 12 minutes and finished with seven points on 3-of-7 shooting from the floor.

Back spasms are really tricky to deal with since they can flare up at any moment. The Suns are in another rebuild season, so if Booker isn't 100 percent or still has some stiffness in his back, he should rest. Missing a few games isn't going to matter since Phoenix is likely going to be a lottery team this year anyway.

Booker signed a five-year, $158 million maximum contract extension with the Suns in the offseason.
