Former NBA point guard Jameer Nelson says Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker reminds him of a young Kobe Bryant.

Booker has established himself as one of the best scorers in the league. He scored a whopping 70 points during the 2016-17 season against the Boston Celtics.

Much has been made of Booker's complaint about getting double-teamed in pick-up games. Jameer Nelson thinks Booker should accept the challenge of getting double-teamed in the summer because it's a sign of respect.

Last season for the Suns, Devin Booker averaged 26.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.8 assists while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.6 percent from the free-throw line. The sky is the limit for Booker, who is only 22.

Booker gets double-teamed all the time during the NBA season because let's face it, the Suns don't have anyone else on the roster who scares teams. The easiest way to defeat the Suns is to get the ball out of Booker's hands and force the other guys to beat you.

The Suns signed veteran point guard Ricky Rubio this summer, so Booker will be able to focus on scoring next season instead of having to run the offense and score. Nevertheless, Booker is going to see his fair share of double-teams, so he might as well get used to it in the summer so he knows how to approach once the season starts.
