According to Phoenix Suns general manager James Jones, guard Devin Booker is without question an All-Star in the NBA.

After the release of the names of All-Star reserves which saw the snub of several players including Booker, Jones briefly recounted his playing days. For Jones, having played with and against great players, Booker is an All-Star in his book.

Prior to being an executive, Jones spent several seasons in the NBA. He was part of the Phoenix Suns team of the 2000s that featured Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, and Amar'e Stoudemire. Later on, he became part of the Miami Heat squad comprised of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. With James, Jones went to seven straight NBA Finals.

Devin Booker has been instrumental in the Suns' resurgence this season. He's averaging 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. He's considered as one of the NBA's brightest stars but surprisingly, he hasn't been selected in the All-Star game.

The East All-Star reserves are Jimmy Butler, Ben Simmons, Kyle Lowry, Khris Middleton, Domantas Sabonis, Jayson Tatum, Bam Adebayo. While the West All-Star reserves are Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Chris Paul, Brandon Ingram, Russell Westbrook.

The starters for the East, which was revealed last week, are Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakam, Kemba Walker, Trae Young, and Giannis Antetokounmpo (captain). While West starters are Anthony Davis, Luka Doncic, James Harden, LeBron James (captain), and Kawhi Leonard.

As captains, James and Antetokounmpo will get to form their own teams for the Feb. 16 game, choosing from a player pool that includes the other eight starters and the 14 reserves, regardless of conference designation.
