Ricky Rubio, now of the Phoenix Suns, said that he can help young stars Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton reach their maximum potential.

Rubio admitted that he's been in contact with Booker and Ayton. He also added that he's very excited to start working with them and hopefully share some tidbits on how they can improve their game:

“I can help them reach the level they deserve,” Rubio said, per Cody Cunningham of nba.com. “Deandre, Devin Booker, I’ve been talking to them the last couple days and they’re really excited too. Can’t wait to jump on the court and start working with them.”

Last month, the 28-year-old Spaniard inked a three-year, $51 million deal with the Suns. Rubio is considered one of the more decent guards in the league. Among active players in the league, he ranks fifth all-time in assists per game and 18th all-time.

He's also second in steals per game among active players and 19th all-time. The eight-year veteran has had five seasons where he ranked in the NBA's top ten in assists per game and four seasons in the top ten in steals per game.

Analysts predict that with the addition of a pure point guard, Devin Booker — one of the most potent scorers in the league today — will gain an extra boost. Ayton, too, is expected to reach new heights with Rubio running the point.
