The Phoenix Suns will be without veteran guard Trevor Ariza for at least one more game.

Trevor Ariza won't play in Saturday night's showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the second straight game that he will miss due to personal reasons.

“We spoke with Trevor yesterday, he’s still uncertain right now,” Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov told Dylan Carter of 98.7 Arizona Sports. “He’s not with us and usually we stay with the group who practiced.”

It's still unclear exactly what is going on with Ariza, but he and Kokoskov are in communication for the time being. It could be a family issue he's dealing with, but NBA conspiracy theorists are cooking up theories about a potential trade for Ariza.

Ariza is still an excellent defender who can guard multiple positions. He can also knock down open looks and could be extremely valuable to a contending team this season.

The Suns are in disarray after some early season reshuffling in the front office. They fired general manager Ryan McDonough weeks before the season started and the franchise doesn't appear to have a clear direction.

Ariza's absence may not have anything to do with a potential trade, but those rumors will ramp up later in the season as the trade deadline approaches. He's on a one-year deal and it won't be hard to find a suitable trade partner for him.

Hopefully, nothing serious is going on in his personal life and he can return to the court sooner rather than later.
