Through the first couple of months of the offseason, the Phoenix Suns have ramped up their efforts in putting together a team that can compete in the daunting Western Conference.

They have made several roster moves to for next season, but it doesn't appear they will try to buyout veteran center Tyson Chandler from his deal, according to Scott Bordow of azcentral.com.

The 35-year-old is set to enter the final year of his four-year, $52 million deal that will pay him roughly $13.8 million for the 2018-19 season. Chandler has been a mainstay in the starting lineup throughout his time in Phoenix, continuing to provide consistent production in a limited role with his elite ability as a rebounder and effectiveness as a scorer around the rim on lobs and dunks.

Despite heading into his 18th campaign in the league, Chandler's ability to be a huge factor on the glass and as a rim protector hasn't diminished. These qualities should help him avoid being bought out by the Suns for at least the time being, as he will be penciled in as the starter for next season. If anything, his contract is an expiring deal that, at the very least, will come off the books next summer or can be used a trade piece prior to the deadline in February.

There could be plenty of interest in him next season from a contending team that is looking to acquire additional depth in the frontcourt with a proven player. For the time being, Chandler will be in the Suns' plans at least through next season.
