It's still early in the season but Josh Jackson of the Phoenix Suns is already in mid-season form in terms of selling a call.

Check out the clip below featuring Josh Jackson, flopping and getting away with it. Even Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City couldn't believe that the referees called it an offensive foul:

From this day forward, this clip will probably be played over and over again in gag reels. The commentators observed that Jackson was preparing to absorb the contact and jump up in the air to sell the play.

Jackson, the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, got the starting shooting guard spot tonight in place of the injured Devin Booker (hamstring). Perhaps, he was just trying to impress the coaching staff and his teammates. A flop or two won't hurt if it does its job of selling the play and forcing a turnover.

Besides, this is a critical season for Jackson. In his rookie campaign with the Suns, he was able to make it to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team, putting up 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Now, he seems bent on evading the dreaded sophomore slump. Through the first five games of the season, Jackson averaged 8.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
