Toronto Raptors brand ambassador and Grammy-award winning hip-hop artist Drake recently dropped a compilation album containing some of his best unreleased tracks from the past few years. One of the songs on the album was entitled “Draft Day,” which opened with lyrics pertaining to former NFL star Johnny Manziel and Minnesota Timberwolves stud Andrew Wiggins. We all know how Drake's infamous curse has had some mysterious and superstitious effect on the players and/or teams that he supports, and in this case, it does seem that Manziel's infamous fall from grace may have had something to do with Drake's shoutout from five years ago. Well, probably not, but still, it's fun connecting the dots.

And as for Wiggins, who many believe has not been able to fully live up to the very high expectations on his as the 2014 NBA Draft's first overall pick, some fans could not help but take a jab at Drake for allegedly hexing the 24-year-old's career.

Charles Curtis of USA Today did a great job digging up some of the best tweets referencing this recently-founded Drake-Wiggins connection, and below we have some of the most hilarious ones.

Pretty funny, right? Unfortunately, we're laughing at the expense of Wiggins, who has not had the best NBA career to date. He is by no means an absolute bust, with the 6-foot-8 wing holding career averages of 19.4 points (on 44.0 percent shooting), 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 36.0 minutes per contest. However, there are more than a few people who consider him to be one of the problems in Minnesota.

Whatever the case may be, Wiggins signed a five-year max extension with the Wolves two years ago, and he will be with the team for at least the next four years. So like him or not, he's in it for the long haul.
