Andrew Wiggins has seen a slight uptick in his scoring since Jimmy Butler went down with a meniscus injury, but to some who were hoping to see the former No. 1 pick rise as the team's go-to shot maker at the end of games, that side has yet to come.

The 23-year-old Canadian has put up eight 20-point games in his last 10 outings, but has been unbothered by people's opinions regarding his clutch factor late in games.

“I don’t really care much with people’s opinions. I just play,” Wiggins told Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports. “I don’t really talk or listen to the outside. I kind of have a close circle I listen to, and that’s it. Anything else, I don’t even,”

“Jimmy’s not a guy that can really be replaced by one person. It’s on the whole team to do that. I’ve got to be more aggressive. The ball is in my hands more, so I have to make good decisions. Some games, my shot may not be falling, I may have a bad game but I always feel good, always feel confident.”

Butler's presence is sorely missed at both sides of the ball, an absence that has caused the team to slip from a well-garnered third place to the eighth spot in a very competitive Western Conference.

Wiggins has shot 50 percent or better in eight of his last 10 games and proven to be level-headed through this nightmarish time, as the Timberwolves have lost five of their last seven games, including their last two.
