Karl-Anthony Towns is not interested in looking back to the fight with Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid, one that resulted in a two-game early-season suspension. Towns entered last week's contest leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 3-0 record, but his team has since gone 1-2, losing the game against the Sixers after his departure and then recently against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

Following his return to practice on Monday, Towns isn't taking his actions back, choosing to rather look past it and into his immediate future.

“Listen I’m going to defend myself. I ain’t going to take nothing,” said Towns on Tuesday, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic. “That’s a very… talented player. I just had to defend myself in that situation.”

Towns just wants to help guide the Wolves back into a winning road after taking those two losses within their last three games. Minnesota missed its big man on Monday, as Giannis Antetokounmpo and company punished the Wolves in the paint with very little resistance in the interior.

Towns' return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the young Memphis Grizzlies should see the 23-year-old pick right back where he left off, after averaging a strong 27.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists through his first four games of this season.

The Kentucky product is shooting an unprecedented 52.9% from deep this season, and will likely be best continuing to go on a tear rather than lamenting his tiff with fellow big man Embiid.
