A Western Conference executive doesn't believe Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins has improved his game since he entered the NBA back in 2014.

Andrew Wiggins was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, and many thought he was going to be the next superstar of the league due to his nuclear athleticism.

However, with the NBA trending to more of a 3-point game now, Wiggins has struggled to adapt to the new game and is essentially just a volume scorer now. Scouts around the league have also questioned his motor and love for the game.

A Western Conference executive questioned his motor, also noting: “I don't think he ever got better. He peaked young. He's a great athlete, but he lacks toughness game to game and he isn't always aggressive. He's not a great shooter, and he needs to attack the basket more.”

Andrew Wiggins signed a lucrative five-year, $147.7 million maximum contract extension with the Timberwolves in the summer of 2017. Minnesota owner Glen Taylor reportedly wanted Wiggins to promise him he would improve his game before the money was delivered.

Unfortunately for Taylor and the Timberwolves, Wiggins has not kept his end of the deal. The 23-year-old swingman is shooting a career-low 40.3 percent from the field this season while averaging 17.9 points per game.

Of course, there are some games where Andrew Wiggins looks engaged on both ends of the floor and teases you with what he could become, but consistency and effort on defense are two major flaws in Wiggins' game.
